The Hall-of-Famer has been battling ALS. The fundraiser Monday night is also intended to raise awareness about the disease.
Because of his ALS diagnosis, the Hall of Fame brought the celebration to McMichael's residence in outside Chicago.
McMichael could not be at the induction ceremony due to complications of the ALS he has been battling for the past three years.

McMichael has been battling ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, since 2021.
"He is being prescribed an antibiotic and will be returning home tonight," McMichael's family said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.
During his stay at the hospital, it was discovered McMichael had a urinary tract infection, MRSA, and pneumonia.
McMichael was hospitalized with a urinary tract infection last week and was on three antibiotics, his family said.
