A 27-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash near Spring Grove over the weekend, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office said.
Marengo Fire & Rescue District crews responded to the crash around 3:20 p.m. near County Line Road and Harmony Road.
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office said six others were evaluated and released at the scene.
Firefighters quickly extricated the man and began assessing him, along with the two juveniles who had also been onboard when the vehicle rolled over, fire officials said.
The fire damage was contained to the kitchen, but heavy smoke permeated the apartment and ruined everything inside, the fire department said.

The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. along Route 176, about half a mile east of the intersection of North Union Road and Route 176.
It took more than a dozen fire departments to fight and contain the brush fire, which officials said most likely started with an unattended burn pile.
