"This is what we do, and this of all things has been probably the most significant humanitarian crisis since World War II," said Dr. John Kahler, co-founder of MedGlobal.
While the resolution would be symbolic and have no binding authority, it would make Chicago the largest city in the country to pass such a measure.
The deal was stalled because there is no agreement on how to bring a permanent conclusion to the war in Gaza, sources say.
