The Fire Department was called at 2:07 a.m. for the fire in a residential building the 4500 block of south Honore Street.
"My parents are old and sick, and their medicines are stuck inside, and that is the hardest part," Rosealba Vargas said.
A fire at a condominium complex in the northwest suburbs left dozens homeless Sunday night.
