A rare strain of bacteria found in recalled eye drops has been linked to dozens of infections, as well as cases of vision loss and surgical removal of eyes. This week, the CDC reported two additional deaths -- a total of three -- have been linked to the bacterial infection.
The CDC says three people have died, eight have lost their vision and four had an eyeball removed.
While hepatitis A has not actually been detected on these products, the FDA is urging consumers "out of an abundance of caution" to return the recalled items for a refund.
