The Best Buddies Friendship Walk took place at the Detroit Zoo on Sunday. Best Buddies International provides mentorship, job training and life skills to people with developmental challenges. The event raised $90,000 for the nonprofit.
The pizza chain Buddy's Pizza is once again helping raise money for Detroit-based Capuchin Soup Kitchen. The restaurant says 20% of all proceeds tomorrow will be donated to the nonprofit.
