New trustee Stephanie Wiedeman won nomination and was sworn in at the Tuesday night assembly. She replaced Jerry Jones, who resigned.
As a result, many have been left wondering what Henyard's next move will be as the primary election draws near.
Thornton Township Trustees Christopher Gonzalez and Carmen Carlisle have been going to great lengths to stall movement on Henyard's plans for the township.
While Henyard had no trouble getting into the giving spirit, there is something she simply can't get going — a trustee meeting. Some trustees are deliberately denying her a quorum.
The reason the trustees did not show up, they argue, is due to meetings that have gotten out of control and are not safe.
Henyard is currently under investigation over her handling of village finances in her role as the mayor of Dolton.
