Chicago Police announced their plans to fight burglary and robbery just hours after several early-morning thefts Friday. CBS 2's Marybel Gonzalez reports.
Police say the suspects stole $2,000 in makeup from a local business in Highland, Illinois, and $1,000 in merchandise at a CVS in Schererville, Indiana.
The pair were identified as the offenders who allegedly entered multiple retail businesses and took thousands worth of merchandise.
In several of the thefts, the offender became aggressive and physical to make good his escape when confronted.
They said it happened around 1:20 Friday afternoon near Monroe and Leavitt.
