Pritzker, a graduate of Northwestern law school in 1993, also will receive an honorary doctorate from his alma mater.
Pritzker says even with that money, he can maintain a balanced budget.
The state will distribute grants to 170 school districts to be used for incentives such as signing bonuses, housing stipends, apprenticeships, and loan repayments.
