The nonprofit The Brotherhood for the Fallen held the 10-1 benefit on Saturday in memory of officer John Bartholomew and in honor of officer Nelson Crespo. All proceeds benefit their families.
Proceeds from the event benefit Altman's widow and two kids, one of which was born just weeks after he died in that fire up in Rogers Park.
All of the proceeds from Saturday's event went to supporting Altman's family.
The Todos Ponen Project launched in 2020 when immigrant families were navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, it's become a long-term initiative, helping the community.
The "Todos Ponen" fundraiser event in Chicago later in January is aiming to raise more than $100,000 to help immigrant families facing food insecurity.
