The robbery happened at 6:14 a.m. on a train at the Fullerton station.
Police said the 45-year-old victim was on a train at the Fullerton stop when he was approached by several people who struck him several times, and then took his personal property. The robbers ran from the scene.
The burglary at the Mr. Submarine on Fullerton Avenue in Lincoln Park was one of three break-ins targeting restaurants and bars early Thursday. Asal Rezaei reports.
