A mayday was called for a missing firefighter as crews battled the blaze, but all firefighters were ultimately accounted for.
Authorities have not yet said what exactly led to the crash, or whether anyone was hurt.
The ambulance went off the road in the crash at the intersection of 119th and Peoria streets.
Pelt died while battling a house fire in West Pullman in April 2023.
