"I am disgusted to now say that I am a survivor of gun violence."
Experts said it's because few residents are aware of the law and the process may be difficult for loved ones.
"They will certainly be required to be a little bit more guarded, in terms of how they deploy officers and more importantly, when encountering potential suspects in any particular instance."
Prosecutors said the two men illegally sold 10 firearms to undercover law enforcement officers on Friday.
