Senate Republicans and the former director of the Office of Open Records are seeking an injunction against Democrat Wolf's decision to fire the director.
"These state lands are intended to be refuges, places where people can go to enjoy natural beauty," the governor said today, signing the measure in 275-acre Benjamin Rush State Park, in Northeast Philadelphia.
In the case of Open Records, the Wolf administration claims the director serves at the pleasure of the governor; Senate Republicans say the law was written otherwise.
Tom Wolf has been sworn in as Pennsylvania's 47th governor, replacing Tom Corbett, a Republican.
"It's a new job, so I'm a little nervous about that," Wolf said. "But I'm really proud of the team I've put together who are going to work with me and help me move the state forward."
