"If these allegations are true, Roger Goodell is part of the problem, and he is incapable of achieving a real solution," Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said on Wednesday.
"The NFL, right now, I think they're out of control. We have gotten multiple conflicting statements from various people we've been talking with inside there, where it sounds like they don't know what's what."
While some professional athletes have come out in support of Ray Rice, only to do an about-face in the face of public outcry, the Giants' Mark Herzlich is no such flip-flopper. He doesn't want Rice anywhere near the team he plays for.
