The Latin Chamber of Commerce of the United States (CAMACOL) is distributing 700 holiday food baskets, or Jabas, to families across Miami-Dade at loanDepot park in Miami on Wednesday.
Eight hundred families had meals delivered right to their homes. And donations are what make all of this possible.
"Right now, there are thousands in Broward who don't know where their next meal is coming from," said Broward County Commissioner Nan Rich.
Right now, 42 million Americans who rely on the SNAP program are still wondering if they'll be able to buy groceries while the government is still closed.
