The man, who has not been identified, suffered gun shot wounds to his leg but fortunately is conscious and breathing, CBSLA has learned.
It's unclear what led officers to open fire against the suspect, who was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
At least one person is in critical condition after the shooting in front of a CVS Pharmacy. Chris Holmstrom reports.
