It was outside the 63rd Street stop around 3:30 Monday morning after calls about teens fighting on the platform and holding the doors of the trains open.
Members of the Public Transportation Section arrested the 15-year-old on Tuesday in the 8500 block of South Lafayette Avenue in the Chatham neighborhood.
The robbery happened just before 7 p.m. at the Grand Street stop in the 500 block of North State Street.
In both incidents, a passenger on the train was approached by the suspects and had their belongings taken by force.
Police said the suspect approached the passenger and asked for change. When they refused his request, the man kicked the passenger and proceeded to punch them in the face with a closed fist.
The attack happened just before 1:30 p.m. on the platform, located at 188 N. State St.

The incident happened just after 10 p.m. on April 24 on the 95th Street Dan Ryan platform.
The robbery happened on April 7 around 8:30 p.m. at the Cermak-Chinatown stop in the 100 block of West Cermak Road.
Police say just before noon on April 16, the victim was approached while on the train at the Garfield Stop at 220 West Garfield Boulevard.
