"That officer is in a very, very tough place; unimaginable what that officer has to be feeling right now," Chicago Police Supt. Larry Snelling said.
Colleagues, family, friends and members of the public paid their respects to fallen Chicago Police Officer Krystal Rivera, who was unintentionally shot and killed by officer earlier in June.
The 30-year-old woman was arrested on June 19, and allegedly drove her car through a crowd of thousands protesting ICE and immigration actions in downtown Chicago.

Police said the burglaries happened in the North Park and Irving Park neighborhoods.
The victim, believed to be between 20 and 30 years of age, was found unresponsive in the alley in the 6200 block of South Michigan Avenue.
The ages of the victims range from 11 to 63.
Charges were pending late Sunday against the driver of the Chevy Equinox, police said.
Vilmer Alcaraz, 32, of Chicago, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 5700 block of South Cicero Avenue.
Jaylin Arnold, 27, of Chicago, was charged with felony counts including armed violence, possession of a firearm by a repeat felon, and possession of cocaine.
