Chicago police say two men and a woman were sitting in this parked minivan just after 1 a.m. in the 8300 block of South Ashland Avenue in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood when someone opened fire.
A 40-year-old woman was struck in the head and taken to Christ Hospital with serious injuries. Two men were also hit by gunfire.
Results from water testing were expected Wednesday night. Officials hope to lift the boil order by Thursday morning.
The boil order was issued Wednesday as a precautionary measure for parts of Beverly, Morgan Park, and Auburn Gresham after a water main break at a pumping station Tuesday night.
The shootings happened between 9 and 11 p.m. Tuesday in the South Shore and Auburn Gresham neighborhoods.
