It affects almost seven million Americans. It will be sold under the brand name Kisunla. It's supposed to be for people with very early onset symptoms and used through monthly infusions.
It works by helping the body remove a certain type of plaque in the brain associated with Alzheimer's. The drug is not a cure, but clinical trials showed it slowed the progression of the disease.
