The 2011 Major League baseball season had begun and I can't be more excited. The Orioles may not be the favorites to win the American League East, but they are expected to be better than they have been in a long time. A summer of baseball fun is something this city has been hoping for since 1997.
Rookie Zach Britton did his part to help Baltimore start the new season with three consecutive wins. Britton pitched six sharp innings in his major league debut, J.J. Hardy hit a two-run double and Orioles beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-1 on Sunday to complete a season-opening three-game sweep.
