Kaepernick Vows To Support Gabbert Through 49ers' QB Change

While coach Jim Tomsula presented the 49ers' quarterback change this week as a chance for benched Colin Kaepernick to get a chance to "breathe," Kaepernick insists he is still preparing as he would a usual week and will support starter Blaine Gabbert on Sunday against Atlanta. After two straight games without a touchdown and three in five not finding the end zone for San Francisco (2-6), Kaepernick refuses to get into the notion he might be a "scapegoat" for a sinking team only three years after he led the Niners to a Super Bowl.

Injury Report: Health Isn't Improving For Sinking 49ers In Week 9

The San Francisco 49ers are going nowhere in 2015, and this week's organizational choices have demonstrated that. Adding more fuel to the "tanking" conversation is the long list of injured players that can't contribute on the field this week against the Atlanta Falcons at home. Six players were unable to workout on Thursday, and that includes key pieces like cornerback Kenneth Acker, wide receiver Anquan Boldin, offensive guard Alex Boone and running back Carlos Hyde.
