Man Accused Of Taking Army IDs To Stay In Custody

A Minnesota National Guardsman, accused of stealing hundreds of soldiers' identities, had a target list that included billionaire Warren Buffet. Keith Novak made his first appearance in federal court Monday on a fraud charge related to the identity theft. Novak is charged with one count of fraud in connection with the theft of personal identification information for more than 400 active-duty U.S. soldiers. The FBI revealed that much of the evidence against Novak comes from their taped conversations with him.

3 Men, 1 Armed, Rob Fridley TCF Bank

Three men, one armed with a gun, are still at large after robbing a Fridley bank Thursday evening. According to the FBI's Minneapolis field office, three men entered the TCF Bank at 52050 Central Ave. NE at 7:00 p.m. All three approached the main counter and demanded money. One man was armed with a handgun. The robbers left with an undisclosed amount of money and fled southbound on Central Avenue. Witnesses believe they were in a gray passenger vehicle. All three men wore black masks. Two were wearing dark clothing, while the third wore a white jumpsuit.

SEAL Raid Targets Senior Al-Shabab Leader

An early morning raid by Navy SEALs targeted one of the senior leaders of al-Shabab. The strike comes two weeks after al-Shabab militants attacked a mall in Kenya. The Defense Department not yet said if the leader was captured alive. The FBI says more than two dozen young Somali-Americans from the Twin Cities have been lured to terror training camps overseas. Abdi Bihi of the Somali Education and Social Advocacy Center says Saturday's raid is a good thing for families living in the state.

Brooklyn Park Man Charged With Soliciting Teenage Prostitute

A Brooklyn Park man is charged with one count of prostitution involving a 16-year-old who was pulled in to prostitution by a fellow Hopkins High School cheerleader. According to the Hennepin County Attorney's office, 27-year-old Oladipupo Ademola Legunsen is accused of soliciting sex from a high school sophomore on March 6, which he saw posted in an ad on Backpages.com. The victim was allegedly solicited by 18-year-old Montia Marie Parker of Maple Grove, who knew the victim from the cheerleading team at Hopkins High, where she was a senior.
