A man in a wheelchair was hit and killed by a truck while trying to cross a Florida City street early Thursday morning, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.
"The flames were pretty intense," said one resident, Jim Morrison.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the blaze was reported shortly after 2 p.m. at the hotel, located on Collins Avenue and Northeast 163rd Street.

At about 3:15 a.m., deputies responded to the incident in the area of NW 69 Avenue NW 173 Drive, officials said.
