Driver loses control, ends up in suburban Chicago pond
A driver lost control and ended up in a pond at a forest preserve in northwest suburban Wood Dale. First responders said the driver was able to get out of the car before it fully submerged.

A mangled white car was on 47th Street near Halsted and a white Jeep was nearby on the curb. Police were on the scene blocking the street. It's not clear if anyone was injured.
The driver and a 62-year-old who lived in the home were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Chicago Fire Department said two CPD officers and one ISP trooper were taken to Christ Hospital with minor injuries.
It happened around 2:12 a.m. in the northbound lanes near 91st Street.
The pastor said this isn't the first time the building's been hit.
Chicago police officers responded to a call in the 500 block of South Cicero Avenue, but when officers got to the scene, no one was there.
A driver crashed into a building in the Austin neighborhood and abandoned the car there.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Thomas Street.
The business was closed at the time and no hazards were identified.
Two people inside the home weren't seriously injured.

The 29-year-old driver of the Nissan was cited for violating "Scott's Law," which is the improper passing of a stationary emergency vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
