The manager of Puffs Discount, at 7756 Madison St., said two men walked in around 7:40 a.m. and demanded money and cigarettes. Then they hit a worker in the head with a gun.
The boys, 16 and 17, were charged with three felony counts of armed robbery with a firearm and one felony count of attempted armed robbery with a firearm.
Chicago police said both men were taken into custody just after 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 8700 block of South State Street.
The security footage shows those two men inside the Family Dollar near 79th and Crandon in November.
Police say they pistol-whipped a security guard before someone outside the store shot a third person.
Kyler Reese, 21, and Chaun Allen, 22, both have been charged in federal court with conspiracy, robbery of a mail carrier, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
