Four street vendors have been robbed in the past two months
Police said upon arrival, a man would approach them and display a handgun before taking their money and/or cell phones.
According to Chicago police, the suspect showed a gun and then started taking merchandise off store shelves.
Responding officers located the suspect as he attempted to flee and was placed into custody.
That rally will take place at the corner of South Albany Avenue and 26th Street.
Chicago police are warning about a series of armed robberies and carjackings on the North and West sides. In each case, two to four people jump out of a car, flash guns, and demand the victims' money and car keys.
Police say three men entered the bank and approached the teller – demanding money and brandishing an unknown-style firearm.
This robbery happened just a block from where 23-year-old Dakotah Earley was shot and nearly killed this past spring.

"They're a threat to this community, they're a threat to our officers' safety. These are dangerous people," Police Supt. David Brown said.

Police said at 11:20 a.m., the 70-year-old woman was walking with her dog in the 1300 block of West Webster Avenue when a man came up, took out a gun, and demanded her property.
Both of the victims were listed in critical condition.
In each robbery, a group of two to four people in a car, and armed with guns, targets people who are on foot or sitting in a parked vehicle.
