Teams from the National Weather Service are in southern Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin. They're surveying damage from last night's storms, including reports of at least 10 tornados.
The National Weather Service today confirmed a tornado in central Minnesota Saturday night. The EF-1 tornado hit Melrose with winds up to 95 miles per hour. It damaged homes, buildings and farm equipment. Melrose wasn’t the only community hit hard. John Lauritsen is about 30 miles south of Melrose, near Paynesville, where another family is assessing damage to its farm.
