The 91 Freeway from Lincoln Avenue to Main Street was closed on Friday to repave the lanes of the freeway.
All eastbound lanes had been shut down over the weekend for construction work. Tina Patel reports.
Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, all eastbound 91 Freeway lanes will be closed from Main Street to just west of Interstate 15, according to the Riverside County Transportation Commission. The closure is expected to end at 5 a.m. Monday. Nicole Comstock reports.
The crash took place near Norwalk on the eastbound side of the 91 Freeway in between Pioneer and Norwalk Boulevard.

A man, who was reportedly fighting off sleep as he traveled along the 91 Freeway, suffered major injuries after slamming into a tree early Thursday morning.

David Pride watched in horror as a motorcyclist hit an overturned car shrouded by the darkness on the 91 Freeway in Riverside. After slamming into the car, Pride said the motorcyclist flew through the air and landed right in the middle of oncoming traffic as car after car narrowly avoided running him over. When another car crashed and exploded into flames, Pride knew that he had to do something to save the injured motorcyclist. Nicole Comstock reports.
An overturned big rig remained on its side in Long Beach, as crews continued to work to clear the truck from the roadway. As a result, the transition between the EB 710 FWY and NB 91 FWY remained closed for hours.
