As the contract deadline approaches and negotiations continue, Stellantis announced that the automaker made a second offer to the UAW and then a third offer, but an agreement still hasn't been reached.
Members are gearing up, and negotiations are taking place around the clock, according to UAW president Shawn Fain. Aside from many of the points widely talked about, like time off, pay, and vacation, electric vehicles also play a role.
Labor experts say the automakers will have to increase their offer to at least 20%.
The United Auto Workers union on Friday rejected wage and benefit offers from all three Detroit automakers, raising tensions just six days before a strike deadline for 146,000 employees.
