Chicago police said the woman was arguing with a known offender around 9:12 a.m. in the 700 block of North Leamington Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood, who then entered a car and struck the victim.
The victim was taken by the Chicago Fire Department to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The security guard was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office late Friday as Loyce Wright. He was shot and killed in the Family Dollar at Chicago and Long avenues.
