Chicago police said the woman was arguing with a known offender around 9:12 a.m. in the 700 block of North Leamington Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood, who then entered a car and struck the victim.
The victim was taken by the Chicago Fire Department to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The security guard was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office late Friday as Loyce Wright. He was shot and killed in the Family Dollar at Chicago and Long avenues.
The victim was struck multiple times in the body and was taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County, where he was pronounced dead.
No one was in custody late Friday in the shooting on Chicago Avenue in South Austin.
He suffered head trauma and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Rideshare drivers said they are praying the victim pulls through, because they're still mourning the deaths of at least two other drivers who were shot and killed last month. CBS 2 Investigator Megan Hickey reports.
At last check, the Uber driver was in critical condition with several gunshot wounds to the chest after being shot on the West Side. CBS 2 Investigator Megan Hickey reports.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Thomas Street.
Chicago police officers responding to a crash after a car slammed into two parked cars. they found a woman shot and unresponsive in that car when they got there.
The police Major Accident Investigation Unit and the Civilian Office of Police Accountability are investigating.
Police said the suspect was in a stolen car at a car wash when he got out and officers tried to stop him and talk to him. But police say he ran off, and was hit and killed by a truck. CBS 2's Sabrina Franza reports.

Chicago police said a 46-year-old man and another male of unknown age were on the sidewalk when an unknown offender shot them.
No suspects have been arrested. Area 4 detectives were investigating.
The boy took off, but was arrested by police minutes later.
Officials say the man had shot himself and was pronounced dead.
The crash happened around 1:20 a.m. in the 400 block of South Cicero Avenue.
Chicago police say officers responded to a traffic crash and located an unoccupied black SUV that struck the building.

Police arrested the 16-year-old Thursday afternoon, in the 4000 block of West Lake Street.
The suspect got into a red sedan and took off. Police are still looking for the suspect.
