Four people have been shot -- one fatally -- in the south suburban village of Sauk Village, authorities said Thursday afternoon.
The 27-year-old was standing on a sidewalk with a group of people about 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Carpenter Street and 113th Place when someone walked out of a gangway across the street and started shooting.
The latest shooting happened about 11 p.m., when two men were wounded in a drive-by attack in the Gresham neighborhood.
Three people were critically wounded Wednesday night in the south side Burnside neighborhood.
On July 18, the victim was smoking a cigarette on his own first-floor patio on Quail Hollow Drive, when a neighbor two floors above him shouted to him, "Hey, put that cigarette out, now."
