Indicted singer R. Kelly is seeking to be released to home confinement and electronic monitoring at his condo in the South Loop.
The third time was not the charm for singer R. Kelly, who again was denied a request to be released from jail due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It is a fact that people who are diabetic are at a much higher risk for serious complications should they be infected with Covid 19," Kelly's attorney wrote in a filing in federal court.
"That Mr. Kelly will be infected with this deadly disease, is now unfortunately an absolute probability," Kelly's lawyers argued.
Kelly, 53, has been held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center since his arrest on federal charges in Chicago and New York last July.
