CBS 2 highlights pet rescue organizations throughout the Chicago area every Thursday. This week, Lori Bartoli from Second City Canine is in the Pet Rescue Spotlight, and she's brought in three-year-old Capone.
Pet rescue organizations around Chicago continue to report a need for forever homes. This week, Amy Johnson from PAWS Chicago highlighted the story of Flute.
If you can't adopt permanently, shelters are looking for foster parents to clear space.
"She's already learning house breakage, so she's really good with that, likes other dogs and likes kids. Pretty much any home."
CBS 2 shines a spotlight on pet rescue organizations throughout Chicago each Thursday. Carolyn Mossberg and the adorable Stella Marie are from West Suburban Humane Society, looking for that special forever home.
"He liked looking out the window to see where we were going. He's very chill. He loves sitting on laps. Really knows how to handle stress."
"If gratitude had a face it wouldn't be this kitty cat," one person said of the agitated-looking calico.
"Anyone who would like a good couch snuggle but also venture outside would be great for him."
Despite his quirks, he's a super fun puppy who loves kids, people, and other dogs. Fumble would be great with an adopter who'll love and accept him despite his minor challenges.
Edge, who'll grow into a big dog, would be great with an active family, but both dogs have beautiful personalities.

She keeps getting looked over because she's shy at first but she blossoms pretty quickly.
Elliott brought along sisters Kylie and Khloe who are ready to be adopted.
"He's fantastic. He's working on his training. He's loving and sweet."
Border Tail Rescue's Stacy Zeidman has an update on the dogs rescued from a hoarder and she's in the studio with Topher, a sweet pit mix looking for his forever home.
"The biggest thing right now for them is decompression. We're trying to socialize them the best we can but they need to calm down and realize they're in a safe place."
CBS 2's Andrew Ramos reports the shelter took in the animals from a severe hoarding situation and the animals are getting shots and chipped, awaiting their forever homes.
