The robberies were reported on May 19 about 9:48 p.m. in the 2900 block of West 63rd Street and again on June 1 about 2:37 p.m. in the 6000 block of South Kedzie, according to an alert from Area Central detectives.
About 10:25 p.m., the man was getting into a car at the station in the 100 block of West 63rd Street when a white SUV pulled up and someone inside shot him in the buttocks, police said.
Devonte Willis, 21, pleaded guilty on Monday to aggravated criminal sexual assault with a firearm, according to a statement from the Cook County state's attorney's office.
State Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said the unmarked squad car was damaged by some type of debris as the car was near the 63rd Street exit, though it was "unclear if the debris was metal, a bullet, a rock, etc."
