President Trump held a roundtable on MS-13 gangs on Long Island, New York, Wednesday. He proposed cutting aid to the countries of origin of criminal undocumented immigrants.
On Thursday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders clarified President Trump's comment on immigrants from the day before. She said he was referring to members of the gang MS-13 as "animals" -- not all immigrants.
President Trump said a controversial comment he made Wednesday comparing illegal immigrants to "animals" was specifically in reference to MS-13 gang members.
"I can't defend myself," said said one young woman who was arrested and then released. "I can't explain what happened because I don't even know who is accusing me"
