Police make arrest in hammer attack inside Queens subway station

According to police, the driver veered from the lane and crashed into a Highway Patrol Vehicle that was parked behind another car in the shoulder.
Police said the suspects punched the store worker after threatening him with a gun.
Police say a passerby noticed her body inside a plastic container on University Avenue on Friday.
It happened just before 8 a.m. Feb. 18 inside the station at 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue.
It happened Thursday night at the Queens Plaza subway station in Long Island City.
The suspect or suspects fled the scene, and police are still looking for them.
The group has stolen more than $600 in cash, cellphones, gold chains, headphones and wallets, police said.
As New York City police continue to try an increase safety underground, there has been another attack.
Investigators say the cart was set on fire on the southbound 6 train platform.
Police said the suspects punched and kicked one of the victims before stealing cellphone chargers from the bus.
