North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in met for the second time in a month on Saturday to discuss carrying out the peace commitments they reached in their first summit and Kim's potential meeting with President Donald Trump, Moon's office said.
In a letter, Mr. Trump wrote, "Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting."
The planned dismantling was previously announced by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ahead of the planned summit with President Trump in Singapore next month.
Analysts say the closure of the site is mostly symbolic and doesn't represent a material step toward denuclearization.
Kim Hak-sung and Tony Kim were both arrested last spring while working at Pyongyang University of Science and Technology, the only private college in North Korea.
