A Lincoln Park mom who continued to receive food stamps after winning a $1 million lottery prize has been charged with two felony counts of welfare fraud after failing to report her winnings to the state.
Gov. Rick Snyder has signed legislation aimed at ensuring lottery winnings and other assets are taken into account when determining eligibility for food stamp and other welfare programs.
