A Chicago man has been charged with stabbing a woman to death inside a home in the Budlong Woods neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
Further investigation indicated that the victim was in a fight with a 35-year-old man who pulled out a knife and attacked her before leaving the scene.
Police said a young boy called 911 after finding his mother wounded in a bedroom. He told dispatchers his father closed the door and refused to let anyone inside.
Police say the victim got into a fight with a man around 11:30 p.m.
