Nicholas Ortiz, 24, appeared in court Sunday morning charged with one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm at a person or vehicle.
The shooter also had both a Firearm Owners Identification card and a Concealed Carry License, and he will not be charged, police said.
It was unclear late Tuesday whether anybody was in custody following the incident in Schiller Park. Marybel Gonzalez reports.
Police called the incident isolated, and said there was no danger to the public.
