Police said the man robbed and beat a 20-year-old man while riding a Chicago Transit Authority Red Line train between the Sox-35th and Cermak-Chinatown Red Line stops.
Police said the boy has been charged with four counts of aggravated battery, four counts of robbery, two counts of attempted robbery, one count of armed robbery, and one count of aggravated robbery.
The robberies happened in the Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods, with the first happening on Nov. 13 and the latest on Wednesday.
Firefighters and police officers carried out the full-scale grill at the North/Clybourn station. It involved a train, 15 people pretending to be riders, and a party fog machine to simulate smoke.
The victim was taken to an area hospital. It was not believed that anyone was in custody late Wednesday.
