Beacon Health System announced Reum, of Mishawaka, Indiana, was released from the Memorial Hospital in South Bend on Tuesday.
Reum met the fishermen who found him under Interstate 94 on Tuesday, Dec. 26 - and the firefighters and paramedics from the Portage Fire Department who rescued him.
Portage, Indiana police released the bodycam video from their officers exclusively to CBS 2. It shows first responders rescuing 27-year-old Matt Reum, who had been in a wrecked pickup truck for nearly a week. CBS 2's Marybel Gonzalez reports.
In the video, officers are shocked to learn Reum has been trapped in the pickup truck under the I-94 bridge for as long as he has.
"My surgery has gone well enough, and I'm healing strong enough from that to where I can start working on getting back into society," said Reum, who is recovering from having a leg amputated.

Reum, 27, drove his pickup truck off I-94 near Portage on Wednesday, Dec. 20, and ended up down a ravine and under a bridge along the rushing Salt Creek.
