Aimee Giro, 26, was shot in the 2700 block of New Hampshire Street, according to the Lake County Indiana coroner's office. She lived on the same block.
A car and a pickup were involved in a head-on crash about 2 p.m. in the 2700 block of Ripley Street in Lake Station, Indiana, according to a statement from Lake Station police. Preliminary investigation indicated that the car was northbound when it crossed over into the southbound lanes and hit the pickup.
One of the backseat passengers was ejected from the pickup, which rolled on top of him, state police said.
Layona Dragash, 14, was later found dead on the second story of the home, authorities said.
