The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the man as 35-year-old Hugo Marcial Checo Silva.
Police are treating the area as a crime scene.
While the dates are often near Halloween, and skull imagery can be seen through both events, the two are not connected.
"There are a lot of good leads and hopefully we can have enough information to apprehend who would do this horrible deed."
The 65-year-old victim contracted the disease earlier this month. So far a total of 14 people have been confirmed to have the virus.
The baby's mother and father had just gotten married the night before the fire.
"It was like right out of that movie Jaws. This has turned into Amity Island real quick out here."
Authorities said the driver crashed the car into the construction zone, hit the worker then hit a parked construction van.
