The suspects, both showing handguns, walked into the U.S. Bank branch at 600 W. 37th St. about 9:20 a.m., the FBI said. They then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Michael C. Brock, 24, of Joliet, was pronounced dead Saturday in the 500 block of South Ottawa Street in Joliet, according to the Will County coroner's office. Joliet police are investigating the death as a homicide.
The would-be victims were all on foot when a pair of predators attacked and robbed them, CBS 2's Pamela Jones reports.
The male – whose age was not immediately disclosed – was taken to a Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he later died of his injuries, police said.
