Most recently, a man was shot in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side. The 55-year-old was shot in the back about 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 74th Street.
The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. in the 3700 block of West Polk Street, as Harrison District tactical officers were investigating drug activity. Officers saw a man and woman walking through the courtyard at that location, and went up to question them, police said.
