Just after 9 a.m. Monday, officers were called to the 4400 block of SH-360 Frontage Road after reports concerning a man with a gun.
Police said the couple remains in jail and the seized animals have been placed with other rescue groups.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts to come forward.
